Our friend and neighbor Dan was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s at age 56. Dan decided from day one that he was going to battle this neurological disease every single day by seizing it with positivity, strength and incredible courage - forging a new path for all who are affected by Alzheimer’s. He has trained hard for this race that was cancelled several times due to Covid. But with incredible tenacity and the loving support of his wife @juliejaworski he has continued to not give up on this challenge and will participate in the 2022 race! This weekend, October 8, 2022 Dan will swim,bike and run every collective 140.6 miles of Ironman Kona to honor 140 beautiful people who have lost their battle to Alzheimer’s. We wish we could be there to cheer him on in person, but instead sent him off with lots of “carpe diem” bracelets to support his mission! These elastic beaded gemstone bracelets are available for purchase on my website under the GRACE tab. 100% of the profits will go towards Alzheimer’s Research. Each bracelet has the words “carpe diem” strung together, reminding us to seize each and every day, making the most of our time. The beads used for this project are Chariote gemstones - which have a dark purple hue symbolizing the Alzheimer awareness color 💜
